Louise was a graduate of Sacred Heart of Jesus High School and Loyola University New Orleans. She taught second grade at Bienville Elementary School for several years. She also generously gave her time volunteering at the schools attended by her children, including Kehoe-France, St. Mary's Dominican High School, and Jesuit High School.
A devoted Catholic, Louise was a longtime parishioner of St. Rita of Cascia Church, where she faithfully served as a lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and sacristan. In recognition of her dedicated service to the Church, she was awarded the St. Louis Medallion by the Archdiocese of New Orleans in 2006. Her faith was an important part of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring her commitment to serving others.
Throughout her life, Louise found joy in reading, music—particularly classical music—and gardening. She especially enjoyed visiting New Orleans City Park, where she appreciated the beautiful landscaping, gardens, and artwork of Enrique Alférez. Among her cherished memories was a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, an experience that reflected the importance of her Catholic faith.
She possessed a warm and loving spirit and found her greatest happiness in the company of her family. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing the moments they shared together.
Louise will be remembered for her gentle nature, her steadfast Catholic faith, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her love and example will remain a lasting gift to her family and to all who were blessed to know her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her loving caregivers: Lindsey, Gaynell, Latricia, Jasmine, and Carol.
