

Loys “Red” Antoine died March 7, 2015 at the age of 87. Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Doris Pivert Antoine, his son Alan Antoine, his daughters, Ann Bufkin, Arleen Rodriguez, Yvette Cuny and Susan Scheier and twelve grandchildren. Son of the late Emily Estevan Antoine and the late Felix Antoine. Brother of the late Lucille Lombard, the late Leon “Wicky” Antoine, the late Leah Kennedy, and Lory Rummel.
He was born in New Orleans and resided in Chalmette for fifty years, and has been a resident of Picayune, MS for 10 years and recently The Windsor Community in Mandeville, LA.
“Red” was a graduate of S. J. Peters High School, where he lettered in Baseball and Basketball. He also attended Tulane University. He was the retired manager of data processing for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers waterborne Commerce Statistics Center in New Orleans, LA. “Red” served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
