Lynn Burk Hughes, Jr. passed away at his home, on Monday, August 25, 2014 at the age of 69. Beloved son of Beverly Dumestre Hughes Watts and the late Dr. Lynn Burk Hughes, Sr. Father of Lynn Burk Hughes III and Emily Hughes Holland. Grandfather of Hughes Kelleher and Roe Holland. Brother of Ann Hughes Faulk and Sherri Hughes Floyd. Preceded in death by his step-father, Curtis Watts.
A graduate of the Jesuit High School class of 1962, Mr. Hughes went on to graduate from Texas A&M University, class of 1966, and earned his Juris Doctorate at the Loyola University School of Law, class of 1970.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:00 AM.
