Lynn Berrill Schmitt, born February 7, 1937, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the age of 81. Beloved wife for 62 years of John Martin Schmitt. Loving mother of Thomas (Ann), Berrill Vogt (Billy), Douglas (Claudia), Roger (Wendy) and Glenn (Jeaneen). Grandmother of Shannon Davis (Patrick), Eric Vogt (Becky), Sam, Steven, Elisabeth, Brian, Adam and Kyle Schmitt. Great-Grandmother of Ellie Rose Davis and Hollis Jane Davis. Her parents, Thomas and Catherine Berrill, predeceased her by many years.
A graduate of Redemptorist High Class of ’54, Lynn was a well-informed, avid reader having read thousands of books both printed and on her Kindle and loved keeping up with current events on her iPad.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11:30 am, with visitation at the church on Monday beginning at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Lynn be made to her favorite charity, Second Harvest Food Bank (no-hunger.org).
