She was preceded in death by her parents, Aime and Madeline G. Grunewald; three sisters, Rita G. Vaccaro, Roberta G. Pareti, and Carolyn G. Blakey; and one nephew, Ronald H. Vaccaro. Madeline is survived by her beloved niece, Lisa A. Pareti; two nephews, Peter Blakey and Robert (Buzz) A. Vaccaro Sr; and numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Madeline was born in New Orleans on October 1, 1935. She began her 40 plus career as a teller, eventually becoming a branch manager at Central Savings and Loan Assoc. After leaving Central Savings, she worked an additional 10 plus years in the accounting office of Hurwitz - Mintz on Royal Street. She was a devoted Catholic, and regularly attended Mass at St. Christopher the Martyr and St. Benilde.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12:00PM. The interment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2.
