Magdalena Sofia Alfonso

Magdalena “Magda” Sofia Alfonso passed away on April 16, 2016 at age 75. She was a life long resident of New Orleans, La. She was a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart. Magda was employed by Michael J. Rapier Investments for many years.

Magda was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen B. Alfonso, aunt Connie B. Reed, uncles Henry Bellini and Eloy Bellini, son Michael K. Reed, great-grandchild Juliette Reed.

She is survived by her sisters Margaret R. Brown and Marie Balfour, brother Ronald J. Reed; grandchildren Ashley L. Reed and Rebecca M. Reed and great grandchildren Ava M. Reed and Arabella Garcia.

She is also survived by her devoted friends, Michael J. Rapier, Kathryn E. Rapier, Dolores(Dee) St. Pierre and many other family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A special thanks to the staff and doctors at Ocshner Clinic Foundation, especially Dr. Suma Satti and staff at Canon Hospice for all of there compassion and help through this process.
