Mahlon Louis Oustalet, 89, passed away on August 2, 2014 in Metairie, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Myrtle Budde Oustalet and Emile Albert Oustalet; and 1 brother Emile Albert Oustalet Jr. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Lorraine Prudhomme Oustalet and 1 son, Mahlon Louis Oustalet II; and 7 nieces and nephews, Valerie O. Horton, Melanie O. Hirschfeld, Denise A. Oustalet, Emile A. Oustalet III, Keith R. Oustalet, Kenneth M. Oustalet, and Randall G. Oustalet.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Michael Special School or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
