Margaret L. Betz passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the age of 85. She was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Metairie. She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Margaret Betz her sister Audrey Flato and her niece Jessica Flato. She is survived by her sister Joyce Schilling, her nieces and nephews Mary, Joycelyn, Brian, Holly, Dianne, Walter, Eric, and Sharlene, her great nieces and nephews Michael, Matthew, Jeremy, Rebecca, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jason, Jennifer, and Jonathan, and her great-great nieces Payton and Julia. Margaret was deeply loved and will be missed by her family. She was a longtime employee of Shell Oil Company of New Orleans.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
