Margaret is survived by her three beloved sons, Christian Golemi (Jennifer), Jared Golemi (Emmie), and Justin Golemi. She was lovingly known as "Boots" to her five beloved grandchildren, Grant, Connor, Emilia, Evie, and Luca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Golemi, and her parents, Henry and Evelyn Caruso.
Margaret was born in New Orleans on March 5, 1950. She grew up in Lakeview and attended St. Dominic School and Mount Carmel Academy (Class of 1968).
She enjoyed dancing, shopping excursions, family beach trips to Florida, family dinners at her favorite restaurants, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved and spoiled greatly. She was also a supporter of St. Michael Special School and a former member of the St. Michael's Ladies Guild.
The family would like to thank her excellent caregivers: Vanessa, Cheryl, April, Tachaye, Joyce, Maxie, Connie, and Geraldine, as well as Notre Dame Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave. in New Orleans, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 12:00PM. Visitation will begin at the church at 11:00AM. A private graveside service will be held in Metairie Cemetery at a later date.
