My high heel training began in your room on Marten Avenue.. The color red, koalas, and the long hair that I tried to copy for the majority of my years will forever remind me of you.. You’ve made an impact in my life that even distance couldn’t get in the way of.. You’ve inspired me to be a better, stronger, independent woman.  Your kindness, and your cool older cousin-ness, I will always remember.  Your light shines indefinitely.  I love you, Cousin.

It has been said that love endures all things. Please allow me to say that these past few days have been very trying for us all. And yet when I look back at your life here with us , I am proud to say how much you have filled our hearts with joy, and love! You’ve never veared from speaking the truth to anyone when it needed to be heard. But in doing so reassured us of your love and support. Your laughter I will miss. Your wit I admire. Your tenacity I will try to follow for the rest of my life. Your strive to do better is an example we all should follow. Your  love of wisdom is beyond compare.  I believe that by saying you have left us with a void that is unmeasurable by all means is an understatement! Though I speak only for myself, as your older sister it is without question that we are all better for having been a part of your life whether big or small. I love you forever.
