Marie Celeste Bertaut passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 76 years of age. She was born in New Orleans, LA on September 27, 1949, and was a resident of Metairie, LA for most of her life and currently living in Bush, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Loup Bertaut and Ernest A. Bertaut, Sr., and siblings, John F. "Rick" Bertaut and Denise B. Parra. She is survived by her siblings, Alice B. Weilbaecher, Michele B. Albares (Steven), Renee B. Huhner (Judge), Ernest A. Bertaut, Jr, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Fuegi/Peschlow family for their constant care and love of Celeste. The services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd, Metairie, LA 70005. The visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 12:00 p.m. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.
