Marilyn Kapper Green

Marilyn Kapper Green died on Friday, July 11, 2025 at the age of 85. She was a native of Boston, MA and resident of Old Metairie. Marilyn was extremely outgoing and fiercely independent. She enjoyed art, fashion, traveling, classical music, reading, and was an avid painter. She is survived by her daughter, Robyn Sue Green (Carey Lynn Hattic); her sons, Henry Evan Green and Matthew Alan Green; her grandchildren, Tobin Francis Green-Moran and Harris Lowell Green-Moran. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Lester L. Green; her parents, Harry Kapper and Edna Hyman Kapper; and her brother, Maurice H. Kapper. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Carmen Sanchez, Monique Theriot, Rachel Eriksen, Jennifer Vorhoff, Carol Rattigan, Nicole Hewitt, Angeleta Byfield, Danyell Spencer, and dear friends Judy Katz, Phyllis Feran, and Buddy Kullman. The family would like you to consider a donation in Marilyn’s name to Jewish Family Services of Greater New Orleans who helped support the family through the final chapter of her life. A visitation will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA at 11:00am on Monday, July 14, 2025. A graveside service will follow at 11:30am in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
