Marion Martinez Beckendorf, a retired Supervisor for Schwegmann Auditing Department, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Frank Beckendorf. Mother of Frank Beckendorf, Jr., Patricia Newman (husband Robert), Teri Easly and the late Marion Stearns. Daughter of the late Hazel Rivet Martinez and Freddie Martinez. Sister of Freddie Martinez, Jr. and Kenny Martinez. Grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and great-grandmother of twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Beckendorf was a graduate of McMain High School and Soule Business College. She was a native resident of Gibson, Louisiana and a native of Plaquemine Parish.
Relatives and friends, also former employees of Schwegmann and Brander Furniture are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124, on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment at Lake Lawn Park.
