Marion M. DiGuardi

Marion Madona DiGuardi, age 89, of New Orleans, was called by our Lord to His heavenly home on Sunday, December 20, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Anthony DiGuardi, Jr.; two daughters, Cheryl Varnado (Paul) and Toni Brousse (Greg). She is the grandmother of Stacey (Jonnie), P.J. (Tara), Sarah (Vito), Matthew (Gabi), Gregory, and Katie and the great-grandmother of Marie, Staci, Brandon, Brett, Shawn, Alex, Cameron, Gianna, Vito, and Killian. She is remembered and loved by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Salvador Madona Sr. and Earl Madona; sister, Marie Louise Madona; daughter, Trudy DiGuardi Cusimano; and granddaughter, Brandi Linn Varnado Hoffman. Marion will be remembered for her love of her family and holiday parties. She enjoyed cooking a mean pot of gumbo, playing a sly game of cards, and drinking a bold cup of coffee. She was an avid bowler and bingo player in her younger years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on December 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
