Marjorie M. Frederic

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and William Meyer and her sister, Virginia Meyer Cordle. She is survived by her son, Allen Frederic, III of New Orleans, her sister, Mary Ellen Thibodeaux (George) of Baton Rouge and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie was a graduate of Mercy Academy, LSU and received an MBA from Loyola University. She enjoyed a long career with Entergy Corporation. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother, loving sister, doting aunt and loyal friend. She was passionate about her Catholic faith, parish community, volunteer work, gardening and cooking for family and friends. Always thoughtful of others, Margie ensured that their life events were celebrated by her gifts and flowers and that candy and sweets were bountifully bestowed upon all who cared for or visited her.

Margie’s family extends its gratitude to Sandra Landry for the companionship, love and laughter that she provided to Margie during her illness and also to the Caregivers at Lambeth House for their compassion and kindness.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow in the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Event Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tulane Catholic Center, 1037 Audubon Street, New Orleans, LA 70118.
