Mary M. Bonura

Mary M. Bonura passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born in New Orleans to the late James and Veronica Migliaccio. She was predeceased by her husband, Nickie L. Bonura, Sr., and her brother, James “Miggy” Migliaccio. Mother of Mario James Bonura, Sr., Nickie L. Bonura, Jr. (Lisa), Nino Joseph Bonura, Sr. (Laurie). Grandmother of Mario James Bonura, Jr., Nino Joseph Bonura, Jr., Niccolo Calogero Bonura, Gabriel Marion Bonura. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary, a former resident of Restoration Senior Living in Covington, LA, graduated from Sacred Heart High School in New Orleans in 1957. She was the bedrock of her family, providing love and support to three rambunctious boys and a husband who started his own business in the middle of their lives. She enjoyed a second career as a table games dealer for the Venetian in Las Vegas and the Beau Rivage in Biloxi before her retirement. She is finally reunited with her husband. In 54 years of marriage they were the best of friends and practically inseparable. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a public visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 11am until 1pm with a Funeral Mass at 1pm.
