Mary Brocato Bruno

Mary Brocato Bruno passed away on June 15, 2016 at the age of 99. She has now joined her late husband Alexander Bruno in their heavenly home. Mary was a bank teller at Whitney National Bank for 37 years. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Alice Rosenberger, Philip Martin, Cyrus Brocato Jr., Marguerite Ferrara, Clara Theriot, Linda Rhodes, Anne Parker, Lamar Waguespack Jr. and many great and great-great nieces and nephews and two great, great, great nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was born on March 22, 1917 in Raceland, La to her parents, Vincenzo Brocato and Anna Bananto Brocato. Mary is preceded in death by all of her siblings, Philomene Brocato, Rose Martin, Annie Waguespack, Philip Brocato, Cyrus Brocato and Vincent Joseph Brocato. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Chateau de Notre Dame and the staff of Notre Dame Hospice for all of their compassionate care they provided for Mary.
