Mary Buckley Buhler, 55 years old, passed away suddenly at her home in Mandeville on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was born on September 19, 1962, in New Orleans to Mary Cordelia Buckley and the late George L. Buhler, Sr. Mary grew up in Metairie and in the early 1990s, she moved to Luling and resided there for almost two decades. In 2015, she moved to Mandeville where she was a member of the parish of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church as well as a member of its St. Vincent de Paul Society. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her beloved daughter Jamie Johanna Baskett. She is survived by her loving mother Mary Buckley Buhler and her eight siblings - Bruce (Gayle), Beth, Bryan (Sharon), George, Jr. (Carmen), William (Lilia), Blair (Laura), Barry (Rachel), and her twin Buckley (Pamela). She is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews- Lisa and Jessica LeBlanc, Matthew, Maxwell, Marshall, Mason, Wesley, Clayton (Claudia), Jared, Joel, Nicholas, Christopher, Michael, Melinda, Christina, Amanda, Joseph, James, Rochelle, Sophia, and Walter Buhler. Many cousins also survive her. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Benjamin Buhler. After her family, Mary’s greatest love was the dogs that she had over the years including Pal, Paco, Beethoven, Duchess, Wolfie, and Brody. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Lake Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with internment immediately following.
