I offer my condolences to all whom  Love Mary. She was at most, if not at all, family functions. She loved all of her family and had no favorites. I never heard Mary state negative comments about anyone. Mary had traumatic events throughout her life, but she always bounced back. Her bother Vince and Granny Debbie loved her and made sure she was content. Ms. Fain did so as well, someone like her, go straight to heaven. Love and God Bless, Dave Lanson

Father of all, we pray to you for Mary,  all those we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Mary Grace, and I always called her Mary Grace, born on March 25, feast of the Annunciation, was a good friend, as well as first cousin to me.   I remember her in her walker as a baby, and as the little girl with the long curls.    Back in those days, New Orleans was home to both my mother's  and father's side of the family.   It was common for cousins  to spend the weekends in each other's homes.    Remember Aunt Rita coming home from shopping on Canal St.,  having bought several new dresses.    Well, Mary Grace, about 3 years old then, decided to "wash" some of those dresses in the toilet.    Rose and I had the biggest laugh over that.   Those were the good old days, when kids could walk from one house to another with no fear.    
Mary Grace and Holly came to our house sometimes just to let our dogs,  Tracker and Holly run around in our large backyard.   We would have poboy sandwichces and just laugh ourselves silly at the two dogs.    I will miss having lunch with her whenever I go back to New Orleans to visit family.    She was a true and good friend, as well as family.    Will always love her.

Vince and I are going to miss going out to eat with Mary every other Thursday. I am going to miss calling her several times a month to come pick up food when I would cook too much. Mary couldn't wait for Mardi Gras to get here, because I always made hot dogs and chili (Mary's favorite), potato salad along with other things plus a cake. She would call early in the morning and say call me after everyone leaves, she waited anxiously for my call. Mary was a free spirit with a generous soul. We will miss her! We loved you Mary

Mary was a very sweet and kind soul.  All at Gatehouse who knew her, loved her.  I will miss our little chats.  

When I was  in grammar school, I found a refuge in Mary Grace's attention. I was an uncertain and awkward preteen and she was this cool beautiful teenage girl that paid attention to me at a rather difficult period of my life.  She affectionately called me spider in that I was very thin.  I had the biggest crush on her. 

  In those days, families for the most part lived in the same neighborhood .  Uncle Joe lived a block down from my grandmother and two blocks down Camp St. from us. After school, I would walk down to her house where she would entertain me with the latest songs  and best of all the latest dances for which I was her partner.    


Sadly, when we moved to the suburbs in 1963 and didn't see her often after.

I have never forgotten those happy moments that we spent together so long ago.
