Mary Maloney Franz, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2016. Mary loved life and family, and lived life to its fullest. She believed self-pity was a luxury she could not afford and never complained. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Franz Cuccia, her two grandchildren, Jonathan and Allison Franz, and her brother, Joseph Maloney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew H. Franz, her son, Arthur (Art) Franz, her son-in-law, Sonny Cuccia, and her siblings, Arthur Joseph Maloney, Jr., Bernard H. Maloney and Beverly Panquerne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
