MaryAnn Brau Chesson

MaryAnn Brau Chesson, 88, died February 18th, 2025, after a long illness with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Don Wallis Chesson and her parents Dr. Kermit Brau and Marie D'Amico Brau. She is survived by her sister Kermit France (Bruce) and several nephews and nieces. She was a long-time resident of Houma, LA before she returned to New Orleans where she resided until her death. She was a graduate of Holy Name of Jesus and Loyola University. She loved sports, especially her LSU Tigers and loved fishing and playing golf. She was an avid bridge player and earned her pilot's license. The family wishes to thank her caregivers Jennifer, Minnie and Wilma who provided her with loving care throughout her illness. She donated her body to LSU Medical School. A private mass was held. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association is appreciated.
