MaryRose is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Schnur LaGrange; son-in-law, Todd David LaGrange; grandchildren, Thomas Schnur LaGrange and Julia Cecile LaGrange; and her former husband, George Schnur, Jr.
She spent her career advocating for children as a school social worker for the Jefferson Parish school system.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 12:00 NOON. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
