He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Counseling Rehabilitation from University of Southwestern Louisiana. Maunsell served as the Executive Director of Land Manor and the Director of Goliad House, both in Beaumont. He also owned his own business, Rehabilitation Associates.
Maunsell was a member of the Rotary Club and Pinewood Golf Courses in Sour Lake, TX. In addition to golfing, he enjoyed reading and gardening.
He is survived by his son, Mark W. Wilkinson, granddaughter, Megan Wilkinson, and daughter-in-law, Nicole Wilkinson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124.
