Maxine Jackson went home to be with The Lord on October 1, 2014 at the age of 96 ½ years. She is survived by James Jackson, her only son who lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Blake Jackson, her grandson who lives in Dallas, Texas and Michelle Jackson her granddaughter who lives in Denver, Colorado. Maxine was born in Florien, Louisiana on March 3, 1918. She later resided in Metairie, Louisiana and in 1949 married A. B. Jackson. They enjoyed a marvelous marriage until “Jack” went home to be with the Lord in 1994 at the age of 94. Maxine and Jack were lifelong members of Metairie Baptist Church. There will be a Memorial Visitation Tuesday October 7th, 2014 at Metairie Baptist Church, Metairie, Louisiana from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Memorial Service will start at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Maxine’s name to the Metairie Baptist Church.
