Merlin Thibaut Boyer

Merlin Thibaut Boyer, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Merlin was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She volunteered her time to many roles at St Louis King of France School. Later, when her children were older, she worked at Maison Blanche and then Popeyes Fried Chicken corporate office in accounting. Merlin made many lifelong friends along the way who she remembered fondly.

Her strength and grace inspired all who knew her, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Merlin was preceded in death by her husband Charles Noe Boyer, Jr., her parents Pierre James Thibaut and Jeanne Canepa Thibaut, grandsons Spencer Boyer and Ryan Boyer, her brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children Jerry A. Boyer (Donna), Gary A. Boyer (Julie), Ray T. Boyer (Joan), Peggy Boyer Powell (Andrew), and her 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her sister Adeline Thibaut Samford (Buddy), sister-in-law Carroll Boyer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans.
