Mildred A. Lashover

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Herman Lashover; grandson, John Kirby Lashover and granddaughter Rebecca Cantin; her sisters, Lucille Gueringer (Prospare) and Velda Michel (Marcel); her brothers, Edward Schuler (Magdalen), John Schuler (La Vergne), Mervin Schuler (Mona) and Sidney Schuler (Gloria).

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Lashover Cantin (Merrill); her son, Jacob H. Lashover (Faye);

grandchildren Deborah Cantin Soileau (Dennis), Kenneth Cantin, Stephen Cantin (Sondra), Keith Lashover (Dwana), Brett Lashover (Amy); nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

She always kept up with the news and loved flowers – especially African Violets. She navigated by walking and riding public transportation and enjoyed watching soap operas.

The family would like to give a special thanks and much appreciation to the wonderful, caring people at Modern Hospice.

A visitation for Mildred will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
