Millie Timken Meehan

Mildred “Millie” Timken Meehan passed away peacefully on April 27, 2016 in Mandeville, La. Native of New Orleans; she was the daughter of the late Harold Andrew Timken, Sr. and Caroline Maurer Timken. Sister of Harold Andrew Timken, Jr., Clayton Harold Timken, and Maurice Charles Timken. Also survived by her son Thomas “Tommy” Patrick Meehan and his wife Mary Lightner Meehan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Millie is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, William Joseph Meehan and her sister Joyce Caroline Timken. She was employed by AT&T for several years prior to becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis of Assissi Parish, and will be remembered for her warm smile and graciousness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum in Madisonville, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
