

Mimi Clann Calhoun passed away on July 14, 2016, at the age of 77. She was born in New Orleans to the late James Maltby Clann and Mary Pfister Kammer Clann on November 28, 1938. She attended Sophie Newcomb College and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She enjoyed working for 33 years at the Historic New Orleans Collection. Mimi is survived by her three children, John Worthing Calhoun, III and Catherine Clann Calhoun of Atlanta, Georgia, and Susan Calhoun Waggoner (Mark) of Birmingham, Alabama; her four grandchildren, Harris Calhoun Waggoner, Mimi Elizabeth Waggoner, John Worthing Calhoun, IV, and Douglas Christie Calhoun; her sisters, Barbara Clann Minnis of Covington, LA, Susan Clann Stoutz (Hank) of Ventura, CA, and Catherine Clann Kehoe McIver and Elizabeth Clann Bolles (John) of New Orleans; and her brothers Michael Kammer Clann (Linda) of Fayetteville, TX and Thomas George Clann (Ellen) of Marietta, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Worthing Calhoun, and her brother James Maltby Clann, Jr. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 2729 Lowerline Street, at noon, with visitation at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m.
