Morgan Kenneth Trahant

Morgan Kenneth Trahant passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was 86 years old. Loving husband for 66 years to the late Mary Rose Trahant. Beloved father of Kathy Trahant Coffman (E. J.) and Kenneth A. Trahant (Reneva). Grandfather of Meridith Trahant Malinowski (Michael), Kenneth E. Coffman (Christina), Dr. Elise Morgan Trahant Lang (Eric), and Megan Trahant. Great grandfather of Avery Coffman and Hudson Lang. Son of the late Morgan George and Myrtle Goodman Trahant.

Morgan was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and served during the Korean War. He played the saxophone in the Marine Corps Band. Morgan was a founding member and on the board of directors for Good Friends Club of New Orleans.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Magnolia Assisted Living in Gonzales, Louisiana, and Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM.
