Myrle Metzler

Myrle Barre’ Metzler passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015, three weeks before her 100th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Metzler, Sr. Mother of Marianne M. Rizzo (Raymond), Peggy M. Ryder (Jim), Joseph A. Metzler, Jr. (Darlene), Barre G. Metzler (Isabel) and Thomas J. Metzler (Laura). Sister of the late Lester, Vernon and Elpha Barre’, Winnie Robichaux, Odessa Woods and Sidney Faucheux. Grandmother of Rick and Michael Rizzo, Julie Frey, Christy Patritti, Jeffrey Metzler, Kelly Uddo, Michael Keating, Emily Kinsley, Eric Metzler and Kieran Metzler. Also survived by eleven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Tonia Thrasher for her care and devotion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park & Mausoleum. Visitation on Monday from 10:00 am until service time.
