Myron L. Johnson

Born on September 24, 1943, Myron was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Adrian Zang Johnson. He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and University of Southern Mississippi, later building a distinguished career at Pan American Life Insurance Company, George Engine Company, Inc., and Ochsner Foundation Hospital.

He married the love of his life, Carole Blanke, and together they shared more than 60 years of marriage filled with laughter, family, and faith.

Myron was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Carole Johnson; their children, Wade A. Johnson (Joni), Gaye Johnson Petersen (Roch), and Jennifer A. Johnson; and grandchildren, Spencer A. Johnson (Shannon) and Rachel Johnson Sigur (Jonah); and great grandchild, Barrett Wade Sigur. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kayla June Petersen; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Adrian Zang Johnson; and his siblings, June Johnson Schiro, Adrian Zang Johnson II, and Noel Francis Johnson.

An avid outdoorsman, Myron was happiest in the woods during deer season. He cherished his time as a member of the Jefferson Hunting Club, where he enjoyed lifelong friendships and the camaraderie of fellow sportsmen.

Myron will be remembered for his quiet strength, great humor, and devotion to his family and friends. His legacy of love and integrity will live on in all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on November 20, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, LA 70005, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
