Myrtle Antoinette Relle

Myrtle Hughes Relle peacefully passed away in the presence of family on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Born in New Orleans, she was one of seven children and thje daughter to the late Celestine Kimmel Hughes and Samuel Hughes. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Relle, Sr. Mother of Joan Relle Martinez, Holly Relle Wells and Louis J. Relle, Jr. (Michele). Grandmother of Michael and Robert (Bobby) Martinez, Marie Martinez Perque, Douglas and Mary Ann Wells, Louis J. (L.J.) Relle, III, Lyndi Relle, Laurie Relle Stumpf and Lance Relle. Great-Grandmother of Samantha and Whitney Perque, Robert, Brandon, Tyler, and Mia Martinez, and Jaden Wells. Sister of the late Edna H. Travis, Dolly H. Conis, William (Mike) Hughes, Russell (Pete) Hughes, Clifford (Bay) Hughes and John Hughes, sisters-in-law Frances C. Hughes and Edna Hughes and a host of nieces and nephews. Myrtle is preceded in death by her best friend Marguerite Hoffman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the FUNERAL MASS on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans. A visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
