

Naomi P. Delandro on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Baton Rouge General Hospital died of congestive heart failure. She was 69. Mrs. Delandro was a lifetime resident of New Orleans before hurricane Katrina, and in 2006 she relocated to Prairieville, LA. She was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Delgado Community College. Survivors include her husband, Isaac Delandro, her son, Rodney Davis, Sr. of New Orleans, LA; step-son John Delandro of Richmond, VA; two step-daughters, Denise Delandro of Marshall, TX and Elleanora White of Dayton, OH; three sisters, Elenora Turner of Dallas, TX, Janice “JP” Thomas and Vadie P. Nelson of LaPlace, LA; eleven grandchildren and three grand-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Alphonse and Louise Brown Payton, Sr.; her daughter, Rhonda Ann Davis; and her brothers, Alphonse, Jr., Nathaniel, Richard, Larry and Ralph Payton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11am at Destiny Christian Center, 612 Main St., LaPlace, LA; Pastor Steve O. Allen, officiating.
