

Natalie Favaloro Lavelle, of Lafitte, Louisiana, born on December 25, 1911 in New Orleans, to the late Camille Tranchina and the late Gaetano Favaloro, passed away on December 18, 2018 at her home, in Lafitte, at the age of 106. She was one week shy of her 107 birthday.
Natalie was married to the late Warren Paul Lavelle. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Joseph Favaloro, Felix Favaloro and Frank Favaloro; two sisters, Rose Longo Spitzfaden and Catherine Riedie; and a great grandchild, Rachel Grace Buford.
Natalie is survived by her sons, Warren M. Lavelle (Betty) and Kenneth P. Lavelle (Emily); her grandchildren, Kevin M. Lavelle, Paul K. Lavelle, John C. Lavelle, Patrick W. Lavelle, Aileen Lavelle Buford, Rebecca Lavelle Kerner and Daniel B. Lavelle; she is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Natalie was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte, where she served as church secretary for many years. Her family thanks the companies of Home Instead and Visiting Angels for her care preceding her death.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, in New Orleans, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in the Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in adjacent Metairie Cemetery.
