Natalie Vrbaskovich Smith went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2014, age 81. Beloved wife of the late Roy I. Smith. Mother of Vickie R. Pigott (Edwin), Marcel S. Rivas, Matthew G. Smith and Roy I. Smith, Jr. (Dusty). Sister of Goldie V. McClellan, Robert Vrbaskovich, George Vrbaskovich, Jr. and the late Sylvia V. Trepagnier. Grandmother of Troy, Trey and Travis Smith, Eric, Lindsey and Jessica Pigott. Great grandmother of Autumn Smith. Sole survivor of the Rault Center fire, member of the Williams Blvd. Baptist Church and a volunteer at Rivarde Juvenile Detention Center. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to River Regions Hospice, 507 Upstream St., River Ridge, LA 70123. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
