Noralie Findorff Brown died Wednesday, November 9th, of complications from multiple leg fractures. She was 92. Mrs. Brown was born in New Orleans and has resided in Metairie for over 60 years. She worked for the Bell Telephone System in the accounting, commercial, and legal departments. Afterwards, she worked for the Louisiana World Exposition Committee and in the East Jefferson General Hospital Gift Shop. She also served as President of the East Jefferson General Hospital Auxiliary. She loved gardening, cooking, traveling, square dancing, sewing and reading. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, NARFE, Red Hat Society, Wilshire Garden Club, Swing & Turn square dancing club and a couple of Mardi Gras krewes in her lifetime. She was preceded by her husband of almost 40 years, Lawrence E. Brown. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Irene Findorff, her niece Cathy (Mark) Voit, her nephews Karl (Anna) Findorff and Bob (Margie) McCreery, her great nieces Merritt, Laura, Lisa, and Estelle, and her great nephews, Kevin, Parker, and Michael.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 14th, at 12pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm. Burial will be private.
