Patricia Dabney Jackson

Patricia Ann Dabney-Jackson passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at the age of 55. She was born September 18, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Whitney Dabney, Sr. and Louise Helen Luckett Dabney.

Pat was a graduate of Booker T. Washington, class of 1978. She retired as an accounts receivable manager with local Ophthalmologists, Drs. Azar and Stevenson after years of dedicated service.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Pat is survived by her loving siblings, Brenda Keys and husband Alvin Keys; Katherine Stovall and husband, Rev. Norman Stovall; Glenn Dabney and wife, Betty Dabney; Marves Riley and husband Vernon Riley; Venus Johnson and husband Brian Johnson; and Whitney Dabney, Jr. and wife, Christine Dabney. She is also survived by aunts, Emelda Dabney and Hazel Dabney as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Pat enjoyed being involved and coordinating church activities, traveling, and eating at various restaurants – and was the family food critic! She never met a stranger; she was giving, caring and loyal to the end. We are all better for having known and loved Pat.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Gloryland Mount Gillion Baptist Church, 1515 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard in New Orleans, with Rev. Norman A. Stovall officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 8:00 a.m.
