Patricia Guerchoux Trapani

Patricia Guerchoux Trapani, born on March 17, 1932, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 93. A resident of Metairie, Louisiana, Patricia led a life filled with love, dedication, and humor.

Patricia was a graduate of Redemptorist High School, class of 1950. Her career was spent as an Executive Administrative Assistant, where she was known for her professionalism and commitment.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Mike Trapani, her sisters Rae Ann "Annie" Legendre, Mary Henrietta Devlin, and her brother James Joseph Devlin, Sr. (Annette). Patricia is survived by her daughter, Patricia T. Welker (Philip-deceased), two sons, Michael Trapani III (Ann) and Robert Trapani, Sr. (Kimberly), her brothers-in-law, Durel Legendre, Sr, and Paul Trapani and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were cherished deeply.

A devoted member of the Beer Barrel Social Club and a parishioner of St. Angela Merici Church, Patricia found joy in spoiling her family and was renowned for her sense of humor.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff of Interim Health Care for their dedicated service over the past two years. Patricia will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Friday, January 9, 2026. Visitation will be from 12PM until Mass begins at 1PM. Interment will follow the Mass in All Saints Mausoleum.
