Patricia, affectionately known as “Patsy”, was the daughter of the late Joseph B. Delaney Jr. and Olga Frey. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, George Louis Wax; son, Louis Jude Wax, two daughters, Joann Wax Collins (Sean) and Thérèse Wax Tournillon (Jonathan); six grandchildren, John Louis Collins, Colleen Patricia Collins, Erin Kathleen Collins, George Brady Tournillon, Madeleine Marie Tournillon, and Edward Hunt Tournillon; and one niece, Mary Kate Delaney Bray (Jacob).
Patricia was a graduate of Holy Angels Academy and attended Louisiana State University. She was a member of the St. Michael Special School Ladies Guild and served as co-chair of the Blue Rose Ball. Patricia was involved in numerous carnival organizations. She was a member of The Botany Guild and several garden clubs. Patricia was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
