Patsy Copher Kuhn

July 18, 1945 – July 13, 2026
Obituary of Patsy Copher Kuhn
IN THE CARE OF

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries

Patsy Copher Kuhn, 80, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on July 13, 2026, just five days before her 81st birthday.

She was born July 18, 1945, to William E. Copher and Dorothy Ester Wilson Copher. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billye "Duke" Kuhn; her brothers, Robert Copher and William L. Copher; and her sister, Betty Ruth Copher Dishon.

She is survived by her brother, Stievon Copher and his wife, Debbie; her daughter, Beth Barbay; her son, Shane Kuhn and his wife, Alexis; her grandchildren, Chase Barbay, Bryce Barbay and his wife, Cali, Tyler Barbay, Quin Barbay and his wife, Justice, and Elaine Kuhn; and her great-grandchildren, Lane Barbay, Avery Barbay, and Brax Barbay. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Marilyn Spadora and Connie C. for their love and care.

Patsy spent over 40 years as a beautician at Metairie Manor, where her warm presence and gentle touch left a lasting mark on all who knew her. More than anything, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren — and she never turned down the chance for an occasional trip to the casino.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family service will be held at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
