Paul B. Deal passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 at University Medical Center. He was born in New Orleans on October 15, 1934. Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joanna, his son, Christopher, grandsons, Knox, Liam and Tanner and granddaughter Story. He is predeceased by his parents, Hyacinth and Ernest Deal, his sister, Helen Deal and son Kevin. Paul attended Fortier High School, Tulane University and Tulane School of Law. He practiced law for 60 years and particularly enjoyed a six month appointment as an interim judge in Civil District Court. He was an avid competitive bridge player and became a life master at the tender age of 26. He also enjoyed hunting ducks, skeet shooting and fishing. Paul was a lover of fine wines, collected them and had an excellent cellar. For years he belonged to the Commanderie de Bordeaux, Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs, Les Amis d'Escoffier, International Wine and Food Society and the German Wine Society. His intelligent humor will be missed by many. Burial will be private.
