Paul Edwin Tchiblakian

Paul E. Tchiblakian of Southfield, Michigan passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the age 92. He was the only son of Bedros and Margaret Tchiblakian. Paul attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He began his working career in 1951, as a purchasing agent for Chrysler Corporation. Paul retired from Premier Industries Incorporated as Executive Vice President of Sales and General Manager after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Paul proudly served with distinction in the United States Army - 5th Air Force during World War II, where he was a B-25 Gunner and Aerial Crew Chief. He received five bronze stars for his service to our country. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his dear sister, Yolanda Tchiblakian. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gretchen K. Bourgeois Tchiblakian; his devoted children Patrice T. Hevia and husband Emerson; Geri T. Zalewski and husband Thomas; Paul E. Tchiblakian II, Anthony (“Tony”) Tchiblakian; and John Tchiblakian and wife Emily. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Alexandra Hevia; Michael Zalewski and Emily Zalewski; and Andrew, Abigail, Madeline, Lily and Matthew Tchiblakian; his cherished brother-in-law, Tony Bourgeois; his loving nieces Kathleen N. Brown and Elizabeth M. Bourgeois; and his nephew, Vincent A. Monica. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard in New Orleans. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 4640 Canal Street in New Orleans. Interment will follow at St. Louis #3 Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. For those so desiring, memorials in honor of Paul E.
