Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Linn Varnado Hoffman, and his parents, Pearl and Dorothy Varnado.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Cheryl D. Varnado; his son, Paul A. Varnado, Jr. (Tara); his grandson, Cameron T. Hoffman; and his sister-in-law, Toni D. Brousse.
Paul was born in New Orleans on September 29, 1948 and was a graduate of Lutheran High School. His career spanned over 50 years working as a chef for various restaurants and businesses throughout New Orleans. Paul loved cooking and enjoyed eating good food. He also loved sports, and was an avid fan of the Saints and L.S.U. He enjoyed horse racing and going to the Fairgrounds.
A private burial will take place in Metairie Cemetery.
