She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Louis P. Thomas; daughter Melanie Thomas Smith and husband Donald Smith; son Matthew Thomas and wife Rachel Dwan Thomas; grandchildren Audrey Smith, Addison Smith and Etta Faye Thomas. Paula is also preceded in death by her brother Allen “Hap” Schriber. Paula graduated from Riverdale High School and was an administrative assistant for the Department of Pediatrics at Tulane University Medical School. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to her loving and compassionate hospice care team at Care Associates, especially Koryn, Valerie and JoJo. Services are private.
