Paulette Robert Gebhardt

Paulette Marie Robert Gebhardt passed away on January 11th 2017 at the age of 69. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Richard L Gebhardt Jr., her children Deanna Hollander (Danny) and Steve Gebhardt (Julie), three grandchildren whom she adored Emily and Daniel Hollander and Gabe Frosch Gebhardt, her mother Shirley Biri Robert, siblings Richard, Janice, Loretta (Joe), Sheila (Richard) and Renee (Barry), her Aunt Marie whom she shared a special bond, numerous beloved nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved father Richard J. Robert Sr., her cherished mother in law Nell Naro and brother in law Lee Gould. She was born and raised in Harahan, LA but lived and traveled to many places. She graduated from Riverdale High School and Bayhi School of Dance where she earned a Teacher Certificate. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She was an extremely talented artist, cook and seamstress, the perfect hostess and a devoted homemaker, a giver in every sense of the word. She took care of all us in such an amazing way. There was nothing she couldn't do. A beautiful woman, small in stature yet so strong, blessed with a huge heart, soul and personality. She will be fiercely missed and always remembered. The family would like to thank the staff of Canon Hospice Facility and Home Care Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Paulette especially her sister Sheila, Nurses Cindy and Margaret and CNA Jeannetta. Also a very special thank you to her “favorite” son in law Danny who stood strong by Paulette and Ricky’s side and did so much to support and care for them. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Akula Foundation or Canon Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Saturday, January 21st, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10am until service time, 12pm.
