Pete Hensley

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Von Hoven Hensley; daughter Bonnie Hensley Adams (Jeff); son Ryan Anthony Hensley; grandchildren Madison and Morgan Adams; mother Marie Albanese Hensley; siblings Mary McMillan, Kathy Nugent (Chris) and Michael Hensley as well as numerous niece and nephews who he loved dearly.

Pete is preceded in death by his father Elijah Samuel Hensley, Jr.; brother Elijah James Hensley, III; sister Sandra Chester.

He was an avid sports fan rooting for LSU football and the Saints. Pete loved local wildlife pelicans, turtles and alligators. He was a family man who loved to make up silly songs, nonsensical words and play with his nieces and nephews any chance he had. At family gatherings and holidays, Pete could always be found playing with the children. He loved his family more than anything, we look forward to the day we see him again. Pete was loved and will be deeply missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 12:00pm Visitation will begin at 10:00am.
