He is also preceded in death by his sisters Rose Zito, Sarah Schittone and Nicolena Congemi; brother Joseph Evola.
Peter is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Barcia Evola; sons Peter J. Evola, Jr. (Ellen), Michael Evola (Kim) and Kenneth Evola (Mimi); brother Nick Evola, Jr.; grandchildren Lauren Evola Lanoux (Grant), Aubrey Evola and Angel Marullo; great-grandchildren Demi Castro and another on the way.
Peter served in the United States Army during the Korean War. A longtime parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church and member of the Men’s Club. He was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, tending to his exquisite vegetable gardens and monitoring the weather. His family and neighbors will miss seeing him cutting his grass on his riding lawnmower three days a week. He also liked watching football.
A private funeral Mass was held.
