Peter Joseph Jaconne died peacefully Aug 2, 2026 at the age of 95, after declining from a leg injury due to a fall. He had a love for music and had a beautiful voice and loved singing karaoke. He also enjoyed playing cards and fishing with family and friends. He grew up in New Orleans, Independence, and then in Metairie, LA.
Everyone enjoyed his company, especially at family gatherings. He loved food and sweets. P-Joe always had a kind smile and warm heart for everyone.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife Frances Jaconne; his parents, Leon Jaconne and Frances G. Jaconne; his 4 siblings, Rosemary Jaconne Rodriguez, Leon Jaconne, Marie Jaconne Norton, and Jennie Jaconne Facio; and nieces and nephews.
Peter is survived by many nieces and nephews who cherish his memory.
A Memorial Mass for family and friends will be at 11 AM on Thursday Aug 27, 2026 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Following will be a committal service at the Giaccone crypt in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
A celebration of his life will be in October at the Giaccone gathering.
