Quintella Boult Cola
October 24, 1946 – November 24, 2022

Quintella Boult Cola passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the age of 76. Quintella is survived by her children, Michael W. Cola (Melissa) of Sugarland, TX and Christopher W. Cola of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jaelin, Spenser, Megan, John, and Gianna Cola; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Quintella was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Charles Anthony Cola; parents, Irvin and Margaret Allen Boult; grandson, Matthew C. Cola; and her brother, Irvin Boult, Jr.
Quintella was born in New Orleans on October 24, 1946. She attended Samuel Green Junior High School, and graduated from Walter L. Cohen Senior High School, Southern University in Baton Rouge, and Loyola University New Orleans, where she received her Masters plus 30 hours in education.
She was a teacher at Margaret Haughery High School in New Orleans, a school that was created for the care of pregnant girls. She was also a teacher at McDonough No. 35 Senior High School for 18 years, and retired in 2003.
Quintella was a lifetime member of Union Bethel AME Church. She was a member of SWANS, Inc. since 1963, where she remained active until her passing. She volunteered as a parent and an alumni parent with Jesuit High School from 1982 until her passing.
Quintella was consistently present for the achievements and life events of her family, friends, and students. She will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the chapel service at All Saints Mausoleum.
