Ralph Richard Lusco, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 15, 2022 surrounded with love by his four children Ralph (late Carol Lusco), Caroline (Sidney), Charlie (Shelley), and Mary. Ralph was born on October 24th, 1931 in Rita, Louisiana, outside of Lockport, to Frank and Ella Lusco, and was one of 14 children. He was a member of the United States Navy and served his country in the Korean War on LST 857. After the war, he went to work for the American Can Company for 29 years. After retiring from American Can, he founded an air conditioning business called Affordable Air and became a successful business owner for over 30 years.
Ralph was married to his loving wife, Caroline Seckfort Lusco, for just short of 60 years. He greatly enjoyed experiencing life with his grandchildren: Sidney, Jennifer, Chad, Anthony, Victoria, Nicholas, Ashleigh, and Kaylee. His legacy lives on through 6 great grandchildren: Gabriel, Addie, Charlie, Mila, Liam, and Celia. He is also survived by his brother and sister: Bobby and Nettie. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Lusco, and his brothers and sisters, Frank Jr., Sammy, Daniel, Huey, Anna Mae, Theresa, Ella Mae, Margarite, Tommy, Sonya, and Molly. Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Known for his caring heart and sense of humor, Ralph loved his family and was a friend to everyone he met. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 11:00 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana, with a mass to follow at 1:00pm. Interment at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
